Purpose of the Holy Bible – Different in Language
Purpose of the Holy Bible
The primary purpose of the Holy Bible is to serve as a guide to all mankind toward Gods needs and desire of man. It also serves as a means of communication and intimacy with God.
This was clearly stated in the book of Joshua chapter one verse eight “this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success”
Different in Language – Purpose of the Holy Bible
Though the Bible is writing in three different languages by more than thirty authors under different circumstance and conditions yet, the Bible is but one book. This is because, God was its real author, and therefore, though he added new revelations as men could receive them, he never changes what was once revealed. The Bible is a unit due to the followings
1) It has but one purpose which is the salvation of men.
2) The character of God is the same all through.
3) The moral law is the same both in old and new testament.
4) It contains the development of one great scheme of salvation.
Original language of writing – Purpose of the Holy Bible
Apart from the book of Ezra in (Ezra 5:8, 6:12 and 7:12-26), the book of Daniel in (Daniel 2:4-7 and 2:28) and Jeremiah in (Jeremiah 10:11) in the Old Testament, every other book is writing in Hebrew, a Schematic language.
Power in the word – Bible
The power embedded in the word of God is unexplainable as is beyond human understanding. Lack of the word of God in any believer automatically makes him/her a vacuum of debris to the devil. No man can be totally empty. It is either you are occupied by God and his words or you are occupied by the Devil and the worldly things which are not in line with God plans for his creator.
Exhibiting the power of God as Believer
Every believer is equipped with the power of God to do the extraordinary just like the day of Pentecost. Yet, many have not explore this power due to their doubt and unbelief (lack of Faith)
